Come Follow Me Sketchnotes for "What Shall I Do to Inherit Eternal Life?" April 22-28
This lesson covers the Good Samaritan and Mary and Martha, plus the topic of forgiveness.
Print these doodles to add to your study of the lesson.

Hello!  I hope your Easter was wonderful!  We had quite a nice weekend, with a family adventure day on Friday to City of Rocks, a soccer game and extended family party on Saturday and a low-key Easter celebration at home on Sunday.

As we head into the next week of Come Follow Me lessons, I am excited to study the story of The Good Samaritan as well as Mary and Martha.  I identify so clearly with Martha in this story.  I am a checklist queen, the master of getting stuff done.  It is hard for me to slow down and choose "the good part".

That's why I set aside time every morning to study and journal. It's my way to get my head in the right place for a day full of learning with my little people and trying to fit blog/shop stuff in the margins. (How I study General Conference talks)

I am looking forward to learning from these stories as a family as well. I've included a few different talks/coloring pages, etc. that we'll be using as a family this week. Please remember that this Come Follow Me curriculum is designed to be SIMPLE.  You don't need to plan elaborate lessons or have an object lesson/coloring page for each day.

Just gather together as a family, for two minutes or twenty. Read a scripture and then talk about it. Repeat for as long as your people are engaged and learning.

Ideas for using weekly Come Follow Me Sketchnotes pages:

COLORING PAGE. Use as a coloring page for your kids to work on during family scripture time.  Write additional notes and insights on the pages as you go. You could add all the completed sketchnotes pages to a binder to keep as a reminder of the gospel topics you've discussed together.

STICKER PAPER. Print on clear sticker paper and cut apart the doodles to add to your scripture journal or into the margins of your scriptures.  (This year, I am using this free wide-margin New Testament PDF that I had printed and spiral bound at a local copy shop.  But there are many wide-margin options available.)

Printing on clear sticker paper allows you to add color to the doodles using colored pencils, but still be able to see the words beneath them.  I have tried out a few different kinds of colored pencils on this sticker paper.  Ergosoft pencils and Prismacolor pencils work really well.

TRACE. You can also trace these into your scriptures or journal using a light box or a sunny window.  My husband made me an awesome lightbox, but this one is a great option for you to purchase.

I'd love to see how you're using these! Take a photo and tag me on Instragram!

One way you can help support my work is to SHARE IT! If you appreciate the hours I put into these free resources each week, please pin this image on Pinterest or share it on Facebook or Instagram.  It helps so much for YOU to share what you love and help others to find me.  Thank you!
