Our kitchen hot pads have been in a pretty sorry state lately. It seemed as though we were just as likely to get burned through them as not (which pretty much defeats the purpose, right?) plus they were pretty stained and disgusting looking. So I scoured the Internet for a solution and came across this delightfully simple pattern that's been around for generations. It's double thick and perfect for all the abuse hot pads experience.
I used a variety of Sugar and Cream Cotton Yarns and made several hot pads in cheerful colors. They work up quickly and have been a great addition to our kitchen. I am sure I'll be making these many more times in the future.
