Read and Reading

More about what I've been reading lately here.

Listening

Still adoring podcasts over here. Lately Jason and I have been listening to the Judge John Hodgman podcast. He listens to it more than I do, but he saves the episodes he thinks will be especially good so I can listen with him.

Perfect road trip music for a family.

Watching

Our family has been really into Studio C lately (a clean sketch comedy show).  One of our favorite clips.

I just signed up for a trial of Creative Bug and have received a ton of crafty inspiration already.

I watched Selma while sitting among strangers on a plane last week. I highly recommend the movie, but not so much the watching while surrounded by strangers on a plane, unless you can cry less conspicuously than I can.

Also, Bill Nye the Science Guy is now on Netflix! You'd better believe that's part of our summer homeschool plans.

Slowly but surely making my way through Gilmore Girls while I iron and do other small projects.

Watching my Ellie Girl swimming in her first long course meet.  It was an outdoor meet on a cold, rainy day and it was rather miserable. It brought back so many memories.  I just love that she's following in her Mama's footsteps.

Favorite Instagram:

Things I love:

  • Costa Rica. Jason and I spent a few days there this month.  It was magical!
  • Ziplining.  We went for the first time on our trip and it was absolutely incredible. I'm ready to go again asap.
  • So much rain here lately.  Utah is a desert, you know.  But this spring has been unnaturally wet and our valley looks gorgeous because of it.
  • Time with dear friends.  We took a weekend trip with some of our very favorite people earlier this month. I am so grateful for good people who support us, laugh with us and share their lives with us.
  • Quiet time.  It's my favorite time of day.

Creating:

Still plugging away on my Year of Creative Habits challenge.  I haven't missed a day yet.  Though, I'll admit, sometimes I don't post a photo every day. Follow my progress on Instagram.

Getting ready to teach my summer art classes for kids.  Planning and dreaming is fun, but I can't wait to actually start teaching.

More scripture study guides.

On the Blog:

I Hope This Isn't the Best Day of Your Life.  Thoughts for my newlywed sister and looking back at 14 years of marriage.

Our Homeschool Morning Time. This has been working so well for us lately.
